My goal is to educate people to a better understanding of their body, promoting more effective changes. No one method works for each person, it’s important to find out what works for you, what gets you to the place you want to be. I’ve been described as “gentle…but tough”, a cross between Owen Wilson and Clint Eastwood. Two severe injuries in my youth convinced me of the benefits of fitness. I started with shaolin kungfu and yoga in the early 70’s, then 25 years of modern dance; now Tai Chi and Pilates in the millennium.

- AMY MCCARVER – Certified Personal Trainer with MSAC since 2005
- Education: NASM & ACE certified personal trainer, B.A. Liberal Arts.
- Philosophy: Exercise became a passion of mine after having 2 children several years ago. I found that making the time to improve, not only physically, but mentally, was a benefit to myself and to those around me. I wanted to share this passion with others so that they could also experience the many positive benefits of exercise, such as disease prevention, increased lean body mass, improved energy, decreased anxiety and stress reduction, and improved body image. I believe in teaching the mind and body to communicate properly, recruiting the proper muscles at the proper time. My approach includes utilizing a controlled but unstable environment that challenges the body’s core and balance systems. My favorite part of my job is witnessing the positive life changes made by the people I see each day. It is the interaction with others that makes by job exciting and rewarding.

You deserve the best health possible and a body you can be proud of. I can create a program fit for you and motivate you every step of the way. I will make sure you give yourself 110% every time you train. This will not be easy, but you will see the results you have been waiting for; when you’re ready I’ll be waiting.
